Volunteering at TCSP

Whether you have a few days or even just a couple of hours a week to spare, if you would like to help us to help others, and you are over 18, then you can register as a volunteer for one of our organisations.

All volunteers are provided with basic training, are police checked, and have their expenses paid.

Our aim is to help you on your volunteering journey with the Thanet Community Support Partnership by guiding you to the right volunteering opportunities, offering you support and training to develop your skills and enhance wellbeing, and keeping you up-to-date with the latest volunteering opportunities, news and events.

We respect your privacy and will not share your information without your permission, and will only use the details you provide below for its intended purpose. We promise to:

  • Keep your data safe and private
  • Not distribute or sell your data to any third-party
  • Remove your data from the Thanet Good Neighbours Service system upon request

Our Agreement

By selecting the Submit button you confirm you are entering into agreement with Kent Coast Volunteering (which runs the Thanet Community Support Partnership), which will enable us to provide you with our services and facilitate communication as outlined below:

  • Assist you with your volunteering enquiry
  • Contact you to enquire about the outcome of your enquiry
  • Contact you for feedback on our services
  • Produce anonymised statistical reports
  • Undertake research to help plan and improve our services

You also confirm you are at least 18 years old or have your parent/guardian’s permission to provide us with your personal information.

You can cancel this agreement at any time by contacting us at tcsp.info@thanetvolunteerbureau.co.uk.

  • You are friendly, reliable and committed.
  • You are never too old but you must be over 18.

How you can help improve someone's life?

  • Befriending. Just being there to have a cup of tea and a chat can make a huge difference to people’s lives.
  • Assisted shopping.
  • Transport to medical appointments and social activities.
  • Social activities.
  • Help at one of our social afternoons on Wednesdays in Ramsgate. Making tea, talking to people, meeting and greeting, helping prepare the hall for activities and encouraging and helping people to join in.
  • Events and activities.
  • Dog walking.
  • Advocacy. Help be someone’s voice, making telephone calls, writing letters, completing forms on a vulnerable person’s behalf.
